Hey Everyone!!. Happy new month :). Its about that time again where we pack our bags and set out to explore and make new memories.
A one way plane ticket, one Visa, one layover, 7 countries and one massive backpack!!. So where do you think we are headed to this time? Mmmh? Well the right answer is simple #AmazingAfrica #HashtagAfrica!!.
YES. We are finally doing an African trip ; Adventure , Safari, Wildlife, Deserts, Beautiful views, Incredible people, exotic cultures, stunning beaches, to-die-for landscapes etc etc and so much more!.Oh travel gods be good to us. Africa is amazingly one of the most breathtaking continents and is home to 54 countries. Some places are super civilized and while some have managed to remain untouched and continue to preserve their indigenous traditional practices which is a really beautiful thing.
Our plan is to fly down to Cape Town, South Africa ( we have a 19 hr layover in Addis Ababa, and plan to explore a bit before flying out) , from Cape Town ,Namibia-Botswana-Zambia-Malawi-Tanzania and finally back home Kenya!. ha ha crazy right?. We plan to take buses, boats, motorbikes and hitchhike all the way back home in one piece. Whatever comes our way we plan to make it work :).
A cool random fact is that as a kenyan you only need a Visa to get into S.Africa while for the other countries you just have to show up!. Everyone knows how sometimes getting a visa can be stressful and in some cases expensive. This was a really huge relief and the main factor why we picked this countries.
I think we are most excited about South Africa, Namibia and Malawi!! Table Mountain, Penguin colony, Dune 45, Fish Canyon,Lake Malawi are among some of the sites that we cant wait to see ;-). Planning this trip has been a joy and am grateful to some of my fave travel bloggers for making my work easier. Lots of thanks to Natasha and Cameron from @theworldpursuit , when i grow up i want to be you guys! LOL.
We will gladly take you along with us in our journey, expect lots of blog posts with lots of amazing pictures showcasing Africa and its compelling beauty.
Cheers xx,
Yogie on the Move.
